Fenton Energy provides thermal modelling calculations and reports to demonstrate Part L compliance. Thermal modelling can also be used to assist with building design in areas such as daylighting, overheating and passive gains.
We offer advice on how to economically meet the targets relevant to your project.
Thermal modelling is also known as Dynamic Simulation Modelling (DSM). These calculations are much more detailed than SBEM. This methodology may be required for Part L2A or L2B if the building has certain, more advanced features such as atria. Get in touch for more information.
The Energy Performance Certificate (EPC), required for the sale or rental of a building, can be produced from the DSM calculation upon completion of the build. The EPC is valid for 10 years.
We use the latest 3D modelling software which has many benefits including the ability to apply design changes more easily and work with BIM.
Our company systems allow collaborative working with other team members in order to perform the calculations in a timely manner and to share good practice.
